Please call 999 in the case of any life-threatening emergency. You may find the resources below useful if needing to be admitted into hospital urgently.

If You Are Unwell or in an Emergency:
- If you feel unwell, contact your GP or call NHS 111.
- If you are seriously unwell, call 999 or go to your local hospital and bring your Barth Management plan with you.
- Your GP or hospital team can contact the Barth Syndrome Service for Barth Syndrome-specific advice.

You can also also let the Barth Syndrome Service know that you are unwell by emailing BarthPatientsSupport@uhbw.nhs.uk if you have needed to see your GP or go to hospital, so we can check in to see how you’re doing.
Alternatively the Barth Syndrome Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) mobile phone is a voicemail and text-only service (Tuesday to Friday) which is checked once daily and you may also leave a message there."
